YPG Members Ratify Contract

On February 15, CEP Local 7 members employed at Yellow Pages Group (YPG - formerly MTS Media) voted in favour of a revised two-year collective agreement. The new collective agreement is an extension of the current agreement and will expire December 19, 2009.

This means all language provisions in the collective agreement will remain as they are until 2009. In addition, employees will receive a general wage increase of three per cent in each year of the two year contract. Also included, is protection of the existing rules and practices of the commission plan for sales representatives.

Although it is not included in the collective agreement, the company and Local 7 have also agreed to labour management meetings which will hopefully resolve outstanding issues in an expeditious and satisfactory manner.
