CEP At Play Raises Money

The CEP Shift Changers (right) participated in this year's Big Bike Ride on June 18. By doing so, they raised over $2,400.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Outfitted in their team shirts, the Shift Changers pedaled with a full team of 29 riders. It was the United Nations of CEP with members or donations from every one of the Winnipeg CEP locals represented on the team. With additional donations from friends, family, and associates in the legal community, the CEP team raised over $2,400.00.

The evening was not without drama. As the Shift Changers waited for their ride to begin, the skies filled with low threatening black clouds. They watched as the team before them pedaled around the Forks in drenching rain.

Then came the Shift Changers turn. As members of the CEP team mounted the 29-seat bicycle, as if in a show of solidarity, the skies cleared, the sun shone down and a brilliant rainbow stretched across the sky.
